This past Sunday, I had the pleasure of photographing and hanging out with Sarah and Hanan, two fun-loving and very easy-going individuals :). Although I’ve only known them for a few weeks (since our initial meeting), it felt like we were long lost friends catching up. Sarah and Hanan met through work; it was love at first sight and since then, they’ve been living life to its fullest together. One of the first things that caught my attention about this couple, and something I really admire them for, is they took a good amount of time during their e-session getting to know me and talking to me not just as a photographer, but as a friend. I really enjoyed joking around with them and listening to them share so many wonderful thngs, like about their family and what they plan on doing after their wedding.
As I snapped away on the shores of Venice Beach and Downtown Culver City, I not only saw but felt the sparks that flew between Sarah and Hanan. It’s safe to say only Hanan can make Sarah smile that special way; and only Sarah can bring out the calm yet emotional and fun side of Hanan. They wanted to incorporate the city they live in – the people, buildings, and backdrops – into their shots. I was really excited when they not only gave me free reign on the creativity and style of their photos, but were real troopers in doing anything I asked them to. I thank you both in spending Sunday afternoon with me and treating me to a very yummy dinner in Downtown Culver City.
I hope you guys have a safe trip to D.C. for the Thanksgiving holiday and get a chance to share these images with your family :). See you again very soon! Oh yeah, a very special thank you to Betty of Type A Planning for introducing me to Sarah and Hanan. Betty is going to be their amazing wedding coordinator. I can’t wait to see you all next March!
