Phew! Okay gang, here’s a quick update/recap of what’s been happening the past few days as well as some random photos I took while waiting for the plane and hanging out with my couple and their family.
Below is a video of us (Nancy, Anna, Lonngren, and myself) hanging out at the “Beverly Hills” of Johannesburg called Sandton City. This was this past Sunday afternoon; we also hung out down the block at an outdoor shopping center (i.e. The Grove for the Los Angeles peeps) called Melrose Arch right before doing a quick part two of Vasti and Pieter’s e-session.
Sorry about the camera shake and subpar commentary :). I’ll probably post a recap of the entire trip in the next few days. So much I want to share with you all!

Just me bored and fooling around at the airport…

We’re currently staying at LynnRidge Guesthouse, not too far from where Vasti and Pieter are getting married, in the Pretoria area. The guesthouse is managed and ran by one of the SWEETEST ladies I’ve ever met: Beatrix van de Merwe. I’ll be posting a full recap of LynnRidge Guesthouse including photos and interview with Beatrix herself in the coming days so hang tight :).

Theft is still a big problem in South Africa, even in the affluent areas. So there’s electrical fences and barbed wires all along the walls of most homes:

The day before (check out the previous post for video) we had lunch at Irene Farm. Never thought I’d be eating right next to live cows and have a few flies pay us a visit :). Food was very good!

Vasti’s oldest brother Dex, his wife Rene, and their three adorable kids flew in from New Zealand for her wedding. It was so good seeing them again (they were at Anna and Lonngren’s wedding in LA earlier this year). I was pretty beat by this time on Friday so I headed back to the guesthouse to crash for the night.
