Kisha + Sabu’s Wedding: 8/2/2009 – A few weekends ago, I trekked down to the Temecula winery area to photograph a very intimate and beautiful wedding. Held at Ponte Winery, Kisha and Sabu shared their memorable day with unforgettable laughs, smiles, and tears. It’s always fun shooting at a winery, as the fields are gorgeous and the lighting is always yummy.

Add to that a cool breeze sweeping through the venue and a couple who has such a sweet, soft-spoken, and beautiful personality in Kisha and Sabu! Btw, I loved the beautiful details inside the reception tent and Sabu’s super duper cool sneakers (as well as the special gift he gave Kisha right before the ceremony…lick lick! :). Kisha and Sabu even had a surprise dance for Kisha’s parents and left the wedding venue in dramatic style by walking through some sparklers, congrats guys!

Sun + Paul’s Anniversary Session – Last week, I flew out to Seattle to photograph several events, including one of my favorite and long-time couples Ann and Vince‘s wedding. I’ll have a sneak peek of their photos soon enough but thanks to Ann, I met her cousin Sun and her now husband Paul. Sun and Paul actually got married the weekend BEFORE Ann and Vince! I got a phone call from Sun a few days before heading out to Seattle with a request to do an anniversary portrait/trash-the-dress session.

Having never met her and Paul, I was both excited and a bit nervous. However, all butterflies in my stomach went away the second I met Sun and Paul at Ann and Vince’s wedding last Friday and Saturday. The great thing was they had everythng all planned out for me as far as shooting location and time. Sun and Paul dressed up in some really gorgeous traditional Vietnamese attire for the first part of the shoot at Kubota Garden. They then changed into their white and black wedding outfits for the second part at Alki Beach, where we all had a chance to witness the beautiful Seattle skyline at night!

What was so awesome about Sun and Paul’s shoot was their wedding party actually came out for it. Both the bridesmaids and groomsmen were such troopers for taking time out of their Sunday and spending it with Sun and Paul, simply showing how much the couple means to them. Part of the wedding party was Sun’s maid of honor Mong, who brought her fiance Eric! So what’s better than one portrait session? Two! We actually had a mini pre-engagement session for Mong and Eric during Sun and Paul’s anniversary session :). Special thanks to Eric for being my light man for the night shots and a big congrats to Sun and Paul. Thank you all for spending last Sunday with me :). Now onto working on Ann and Vince’s wedding sneak peak!

And here’s Mong and Eric’s mini-engagement session; thanks guys for helping out and congrats :). I hope to come back up to Seattle and photograph your actual e-session soon!

Debbie + Brian’s Wedding: 8/2/2009 – Goodness gracious great balls of fire! Where do I even begin with Debbie and Brian and their radtastic day? You won’t find two people more loved, fun, and easy-going (neither showed an ounce of stress before or on their wedding day!) than Debbie and Brian.

And as a photographer, I couldn’t have asked for a more ideal day. The weather was absolutely gorgeous, everything from the getting ready, ceremony, portraits, and reception took place at one location (Marriott Hotel in Marina Del Rey), we had AMPLE amount of time for photos, a super duper fun wedding party (headlined by recent bride of mine Julie and future bride of mine Jessica), plus Debbie and Brian of course! But seriously, I had so much fun at this wedding and it wasn’t just about the yummy light and ample amount of time for photos, but the people that brought the day (and night with all those dance moves!) to life :).

One of the best things that stood out at Debbie and Brian’s wedding was how they both invited so many of their relatives and parents’ friends. I thought that was so considerate and thoughtful of them, in a way paying respect to their elders. I can see how much everyone at the wedding cared and loved Debbie and Brian, as they showered them with hugs, laughter, and kisses all day long. Plus it was so good and in a way surreal to see two other couples that I knew of, plus the parents of one :D.

In a nutshell, Julie and Ken, whose wedding was about three weeks ago, found me over a year ago via The Knot. Through them, I met Debbie and Brian. Then through Debbie and Brian, I met Jessica and Rory (and if you checked out my blog recently, you’ll see I shot their e-session a week before D + B’s wedding). So I was simply stoked to be working with all three of these awesome couples in one day :). Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Lee!

Weeee! Okay gang, I’ll be in Seattle from Thursday until Monday night, shooting Ann and Vince‘s wedding on Friday/Saturday plus an all-day anniversary portrait session on Sunday *crossing finger there’s no light showers over the weekend*.

I’ll still have access to both phone and e-mail so if you need to contact me, please feel free to do so, but I’ll be a bit slow on responding back. In the mean time, here’s a quick sneak peek of Debbie and Brian’s wedding from this past Saturday. Look for more images after I return from Seattle. Something tells me there’s going to be A LOT. Adios!
