Wow! Today reeked of awesomeness. I did a photoshoot of the beautiful and super talented Clipper Spirit dancer Ashley. Helping us were my two favorite Spirits Laura and Kelley, who was Ashley’s personal make-up artist, and my favorite photographer/buddy Nick Amrhein. My “job” as the photographer was so much easier and more fun today thanks to these guys (although I might have to take exception to Kelley because she just kept repeating the camera settings I was giving to Nick :P).

We started the day in Downtown LA hoping to shoot on one of its building’s rooftop, but the LA Marathon traffic prevented us from getting anywhere close to this place. We opted for the various small streets and alleyways, which worked out pretty well since Ashley wanted some hip-hop/dance/urban-like shots. Look for the behind-the-scenes shots Nick took of me “working” later on in this post. We then headed to somewhere near my regular work in El Segundo and got some casual/elegant/business-like photos…before getting kicked out by the security folks…again :).

Our photo shoot ended at Manhattan Beach, where Ashley wore a stunning blue dress and I had on my “apple-bottom” jeans (see pic in the behind-the-scenes section). All in all, I think we had a very productive and fun day (minus the whole getting wet part :P).Here are some of my favorites:
