Emily + Philip’s Wedding: 7/5/2009 – Photos and certainly words can’t describe how beautiful, extravagant, yet personal Emily and Philip‘s wedding was. When I first met these two about a year ago, Emily had painted me a picture of just how amazing her day was going to be. From the theme and color to all the decorations and details, there was no doubt this wedding would be beyond spectacular! At that time, I honestly felt like my photography wasn’t quite ready to document such a grand event and capture the love between Emily and Philip. Nevertheless, I was truly gracious of their trust in me, knowing I’ve only shot a handful of weddings. That confidence in me not only motivated me to do the best job I possibly could leading up to July 5th, but it inspired to give 120% of myself on that day.
Indeed Emily and Philip’s wedding was filled with the most amazing decorations, themes, and simply the many details that most brides may not have wanted or have overlooked. But not Emily. Being a designer and caring so much about the “little things”, Emily had not only put together a wedding; she planned activities that entire weekend (being it was 4th of July holiday) for her out-of-town guests. And Philip was his usual calm, easy-going, and wonderful self, with the biggest smile on his face the entire day. The story on how they met is truly remarkable, which Philip’s best man told the guests during the toasts.
I could honestly sit here for hours (and I would if I didn’t have to finish several other things :/) and tell the world how amazing Emily and Philip’s day was. Everything from the details (did I mention Emily totally rocked it and I can’t wait to show you the whole enchilada in a future post?) and people (absolutely adore Emily’s mom who was a sweet heart to me) to the wedding party and a perfect couple to work with…I’m truly blessed (and trust me I mean this every time I say it!) to have met Emily and Philip. I wish you two the best. Also, be on the look out for Emily’s new invitations/stationary company in the near future :).
