Yay! Happy birthday Betty Yeeeeee Waaaaan! This past evening after an amazing Day 1 of my wedding photography workshop, I dashed over to Pizzeria Mozza on the corner of Melrose and Highland in West LA and celebrated Betty’s (insert small number)th birthday dinner. Raymond and Betty reserved a special VIP-type room at this jam-packed restaurant for eighteen of Betty’s closest family and friends. Present were her parents all the way from Boston, her three sisters and their significant others as well as an adorable little one, close college and work friends, and some random wedding photographer ;). I was truly honored to be invited by Betty and am so glad to finally have the pleasure of meeting her parents and photographing everyone there.
I always feel so blessed to say that all my close friends have been individuals that I’ve met in the last year. I met Betty last summer through my undergraduate colleague Malia (who was also at the dinner!). She was a wedding planner and I was a wannabe wedding photographer. So it only made sense that I bug and mooch off of her :P. But seriously, I’ve enjoyed getting to know Betty and her husband Ray. Not only is she wonderful at what she does as a wedding planner, but is a trustworthy and kind-hearted person that I’m lucky to call my friend.
There isn’t a detail that goes unnoticed or a task that is left undone by this girl. Betty planned her birthday dinner so perfectly. From the individual dishes (I’m getting hungry looking at the pics again) to the table decor and party favors, she added so many personal touches to her party. Betty, you totally rock; I’m so thrilled to celebrate you getting one year “younger” this past evening and watching your business grow to new heights. Oh yeah, *CLOSES BOX*. Buahaha! I win!
