Allison + Jason’s Engagement Session – After knowing each other for 20+ years (since junior high), fate would finally cross Allie and Jason’s paths for good a few years ago. What a joy it has been getting to know these two. From our initial meeting to their e-session this past week, everything has been so easy-going, relaxed, and fun with Allie and Jason.

They’re love for each other just jumps right out at me and the camera. The way Allie and Jason look at each other and show their affection…it’s so natural and real in every sense of the word. I’m beyond stoked to photograph their big day next month at The Ebell in LA, especially since I’ll get to work with one of my favorite planners in Uyen Nguyen of Sassy Girl Weddings :).

Thank you Allie and Jason for sharing with me a slice of your beautiful life together. Extra brownie points for being big NBA fans :). Hope you like the preview, it’s going to be tough waiting another 7 weeks until your wedding, but I know every minute will be worth it. And rest up for your honeymoon in Zimbabwe, wow! Congrats you two!

Mariel + Oscar’s Engagement Session – After a few e-mails and one phone call, we were all set to work with one another. Mariel and Oscar came down from the Bay area to do their e-session last Friday. Along with Mariel’s sister Tiffany, whom I have to thank for referring me to this wonderful couple, I had a great time hanging out with them around Downtown LA.

It’s one thing to chat over the phone, but totally another to be face-to-face and really get to know each other. Mariel and Oscar have been dating for several years, and have places from LA and SF to Seattle and Vegas as special places in their hearts. They’re super nice, easy-going, and genuinely wonderful individuals full of love and life. Thank you both for choosing me to document your big day this July!

Maribel + Javier’s Engagement Session – These two lovebirds have been together for…seventeen years! Most of which was long distance, as Maribel lives and works in Hawaii while Javier is here in So Cal. Random chance or fate would allow us to meet and work together this past week.

What made the session that much more fun was that Maribel and Javier brought their two dogs, Scruffy and Cutie :). Special thanks to Maribel’s man of honor + Javier’s cousin Eric for making all of this possible and helping out on the shoot. Hope you guys enjoy the sneak peek, can’t wait for your big day in Oahu on the 4th of July!

Karen + Jay’s Engagement Session – What a way to start off the 2012 wedding year! After coming back from South America, I had the opportunity to fly out to Antigua, Guatemala for Karen and Jay’s wedding weekend. I got into Guatemala City airport at 5AM, rode a shuttle with some of the wedding guests to the beautiful bed + breakfast hotel, took a quick nap, and by the early afternoon, headed out to Volcan Pacaya with Karen and Jay for their e-session.

On the way to Pacaya, I finally had a chance to get to know Karen and Jay better. They’ve been together for half a decade and have traveled all over the world. Also, it’s only fitting that Karen and Jay got engaged out of the country in Columbia :). It’s certainly safe to say their engagement session (and later wedding), is one of my favorites ever. Major kudos to Karen and Jay for trekking up the volcano and being super open to all sorts of photo ops. I’ll write more later, but please enjoy the photos for now!
