Lisa + Richard’s Engagement Session – I go way, way, waaaaay back with Lisa and Richard ;). Well, actually more like over a year or so. They were guests at Amy and Abe’s wedding back in October of 2009. After debating whether to have a formal wedding or secretly get hitched, Lisa and Richard finally decided on the former.

And the selfish side of me couldn’t be happier, as I’ll get to photograph their intimate reception at St. Regis in Dana Point next month! Lisa and Richard met over six years ago through mutual friends; she has had a chance to live all over the country thanks to her dad’s line of work, and he’s a So Cal-grown young man. I can’t thank Lisa and Richard enough for remembering me after an entire year and more so for choosing me to be their photographer.

We first spoke and met last February but didn’t nail down an exact date for their wedding until a few months ago. And earlier this week, I had the pleasure of working with them for their engagement session around Costa Mesa and Irvine. Thanks guys for being so wonderful and sticking with me through thick and thin ;). Btw, why not go to BOTH Hawaii and Europe for your honeymoon?

Nancy + Mirou’s Engagement Session – Working with Nancy and Mirou couldn’t be more fun and relaxing. From the very first e-mail about 6 months ago to this past evening when we all hung out at the studio to view their photos, it’s been nothing but a pleasure having Nancy and Mirou as my couple.

After meeting in school several years ago, Nancy and Mirou got engaged last year and will soon take the big step of being Mrs. and Mr. later this July. They have one of the biggest hearts and smiles I’ve ever felt and seen. And when you put Nancy and Mirou in front of a camera, the magic of being in love and showing it just comes off so naturally.

We went to several spots around San Juan Capistrano for their esession. Within literally seconds of starting the shoot, Nancy and Mirou were already hugging, kissing, and laughing away. I wished we had all day/night to work with one another, because they’re just that awesome! Can’t wait for your big day! Michelle + Kevin’s Engagement Session – These two simply ROCK! Michelle and Kevin met in college; she’s from Vegas and he’s from Tennessee. But their career and love for one another brought them out to Southern California. Michelle and Kevin are truly special individuals in not just my business life, but personal one too.

I’ve had a chance to hang out with them on 3 separate occasions, including this past evening. And every time I do, I get to see how much in love they are with one another. They truly are perfect for one another. Their backyard of West LA and later Downtown LA set the stage for the e-session last week. Michelle and Kevin were so kind to invite me into their home and even got me some snacks for the shoot, thanks guys!

As I was going through their photos, I couldn’t help but smile and relive the magic that Michelle and Kevin created with one another. Everything from their laughter, kindness, and just overall personality got me excited about their big day in just about two months. Mary Ann + Tan’s Engagement Session – When you know you want to be with someone for the rest of your life, you don’t let time, the distance, or even formalities get in the way. That’s the story of Mary Ann and Tan, who both live in So Cal, but met through their mutual family members that are out in Oklahoma just over two years ago.

And before you know it, they met, got engaged, and are now planning their big day later this July. Tan has to travel quite a few times for his work but has Mary Ann’s support and love every step of the way. She lives in Carson and studied computer science; he lives in Camarillo and can send the government after you (haha jk), so it was only fitting to do their e-session right in the middle at UCLA/Westwood, where Mary Ann went to school at.

Forgive me as I turn into super girly mode here :P, but Mary Ann and Tan are just super sweet and caring, not only to each other but also to their crazy wedding photographer. I had a great time walking the UCLA campus and the streets of Westwood with them yesterday. Special thanks to Mary Ann’s mom for helping us out, I couldn’t have gotten some of the shots below without her ;). Hope you enjoy the preview!
