A few wedding albums and e-session sign-in guest books hit the HCP bat cave the past few weeks. Thought I take a few photos and share these lovely products with you :).

If you’re interested in seeing these and several more, please schedule an appointment with me and stop by the studio!

Ever wonder what to get your parents (or anyone else you really, really LOVE!) after your wedding day? How about a parent album? It’s virtually identical to your own wedding album but a bit smaller in size.

I picked up Vasti and Pieter‘s album from the ever-so-amazing West Coast Albums the other week. This is a 10×14” horizontal, cloth-bound 30-side with, get this…a metallic-matte finish to all the pages, yummy! It’s a bit hard to tell in these photos, but I absolutely LOVE this new look.

In addition to the main album, I got a smaller, 7×10” replica of it. For brides and grooms, imagine getting a few of these smaller ones and giving them to your parents/family! If you’re interested in these new albums, please let me know. I’d love to invite you to my studio and show them to you in person.

New year. New resolutions. New studio sample albums! In less than 3 weeks, I went from hearing about a company called West Coast Albums, via Eight20 Photography (thanks Nicky!), to getting a uber-delicious 12×12” album from them.

As a wedding photographer, I want to make sure my clients get products that will withstand the test of time, wear, and tear. And when it comes to albums, I want my brides and grooms to get the very best. I’m simply stoked to be offering the line of digital albums from West Coast Albums from now on.

On Friday, I paid a visit to WCA in Los Angeles and picked up Karen and Steve‘s 12×12” digital album. Here are a few photos I snapped of it once I got back to the studio.

WCA’s sales rep Jack Hudkins (quite frankly one of the nicest person I met in my life) and founder Mike presented the album to me in a gorgeous box with a metallic-like photo cover on it:

Gotta go for the clean, simple, sleek, and timeless design!

Extra thick pages, slightly rounded edges to prevent accidental bending, super durable binding…sha-weet!

For the cover, your choice of leather or cloth, where you want a photo, and even what kind of a flnish.

To my current awesome couples and perspective ones, I’d love to share with you my 2010 line of albums at my new studio. More so, I’m really looking forward to creating one from your wedding day! And to other wedding photographers, please contact Jack Hudkins of West Coast Albums to inquire about their amazing albums. More photos in the coming weeks!

My engagement session guest books/albums have been selling like hotcakes this year! They’re a great way to share your e-session images with your guests and also have them sign their name and write a sentimental message to you and your future spouse. Just make sure someone is around the sign-in table to remind folks to not draw mustaches and beards on the images ;). Or if you don’t want a guest book, you can simply have an album (like a wedding one but with e-session images instead).

By far my most popular guest book size is a 8×10” horizontal; however, if you’d like a bigger album, a 9×12” works as well as a square 10×10” one. Page quantity starts at 30 and goes up from there. Generally, it’s between 32-38 pages with around 40-50 images give or take a few. Today, Julie and Ken‘s e-session guest book arrived in the mail. I took a few shots of it before delivering it to them via FedEx! Yum!

Front and back cover along with spine and spread of all the pages. J + K wanted to go for a funky and fresh font, totally fit their personality!

One of the pages inside. I love the black and white conversions. The image comes out so clean, crisp, and sharp, mmm!

The binding on the book is very strong and durable. I have two sample guest books from last year and after beating it up quite regularly at meetings and when traveling, they’re still like brand new. Totally love the super thick covers and pages! The paper is specifically made to be written on.

Some sample spreads. As always, I try to keep the design pretty clean and simple so all the attention is on the images. KAPOW! Like Ken and Julie’s Kung Fu stand, I think their guest book also kicks you know what!
