Wade + Sam’s Wedding: 4/5/2009 – Two Sundays ago, I had the ultimate honor of documenting Wade and Sam‘s wedding at Congregation Ner Tamid of South Bay in Rancho Palos Verdes. It was absolutely amazing and heart warming to see 600+ members of Sam’s church community attend his and Wade’s wedding. Being that it was also a Jewish wedding, we had the signing of the Ketubah, smashing of the glass during the ceremony, and the chair dances (forgot what that was called) during the reception. Everyone was so kind and wonderful to my second photographer Miguel and I, as we had a blast getting to know some of Wade and Sam’s close family and friends.
There were so many special moments throughout the whole day, most of which I’ve never seen or felt at any other wedding before. It was truly beautiful to see Wade and Sam together and celebrate their new chapter in life with their community. Sure there were hardly any “getting ready” moments or bridal party shots, but there were still many tears shed during the ceremony and amazing details throughout the whole event (check out the cupcakes and customized Kippahs with Sam and Wade’s name and wedding date on the inside). I can’t express how blessed I truly am to document the union of these two wonderful gentlemen. To Wade and Sam, I wish you guys nothing but the very best and my deepest gratitude for allowng me to be a part of your wedding day.
