Erin and Chris had a very small and intimate wedding (my favorite kind!) at Chris’ dad and step-mom’s house in Newbury Park. I met them both, along with their adorable daughter Mina, just about a month ago at the same house and knew that I HAD to be their photographer. Chris is a designer so it meant a lot that he liked my work and wanted me to document his and Erin’s important day. Plus, both are very easy going, young at heart, and crazy in love kids whom I truly enjoyed working with yesterday.
This wedding had it all: a beautiful bridal dress (hey just cause I’m a guy doesn’t mean I can’t make those kind of comments :P), killer brown suit and sneakers for the groom and his groomsmen, adorable little ones (Veronica and Justin: I gotta send you the photos of your two sons!), awesome parents of the bride and groom who really knew how to lay it all out on the dance floor, buffet-style dinner, and sweet natural/artificial lighting for photos. Plus Erin and Chris had a money dance, bouquet toss, and garder toss, which meant some memorable candid shots, some of which can’t be shown on a public site ;).
To Erin and Chris: thank you all for welcoming me into your home and heart, and allowing me to capture all the unforgettable memories of your wedding day. May you both have a joyous life together!
Updated on 4/22/2008 at 6:33PM: Thank you all to Erin and Chris’ family/friends/guests for taking the time to look at these photos and writing those thoughtful comments. I’ve put up a ton of photos from this wedding on a private, online gallery. Please e-mail me at henry[at]henrychenphotography[dot]com and I’ll send you the link and password.
