When several of my friends asked me if I wanted to take a break from all the wedding madness and watch the two Game 7s on Sunday, I told them I couldn't since I had prior engagmenets (that and a few personal matters to attend to). "But didn't you just go out of town to shoot a wedding the day before Henry?" was what they asked me Sunday morning. I sure did. "Why are you always working, literally seven days a week?" It's simple: not only do I absolutely love what I do but I love the people that give me this tremendous opportunity even more.

Debbie and Brian are no exception. In fact, they went above and beyond this past Sunday to treat me not just as a photographer and a friend, but at times, I felt like I was the client! I can't think of another profession where you can go from complete strangers to being old friends overnight like the wedding photography industry. I met Debbie and Brian through Julie and Ken (thank you guys sooooo much!) last year and ever since then, we've been communicating through the crazy Facebook world and e-mail. I can't tell you enough how genuine and considerate Debbie and Brian are. Being that it was going to be a long day and we were going to travel from the mountains (Griffith Observatory) to the beaches (Donald Trump Golf Course) and even catch the Downtown Skyline at night, they brought water and snacks for my good friend/assistant Frederic and me! Woohoo, we felt like elementary kids getting treats from our teachers :).

As I was editing these images, I was quickly taken back to this past Sunday, when Debbie, Brian, Frederic, and I had a blast hanging out. We dodged security and random people, climbed down and up a tall hill, set up a kite (to watch it fall apart shortly after lol), ran through waves like we didn't have a care in the world, and appreciated the beautiful Downtown Skyline from afar (as a 4.7 earthquake hit us while we were standing on a bridge!). I wouldn't have wanted the day to be any other way (well maybe a different outcome to the Rockets and Lakers game...j/k Debbie and Brian! Now they're really going to hate me :P). Thank you both for being such wonderful people in my life. See you both at Julie and Ken's wedding in July and again at...YOURS! August 1st, can't wait!
