Emma + Brandon’s Wedding: 5/16/2009 – This wedding can only be described with one word: HOT! And I don’t mean the 100+ degree weather in Palm Desert, CA at Ironwood Country Club. I mean Emma and Brandon‘s personality, looks, and killer dance moves :). They’ve known each other for what many would say as “forever” but it seems like their journey of loving one another just started. Emma and Brandon have families with so much heart and character. Although I just met them the day before at the rehearsal dinner, I felt like I’ve known some of them for a while. They were all a joy to talk to and work with, especially folks like Emma and Brandon’s parents, siblings, and the flower girl Katelyn (omg so adorable!!!).
What I’ll remember most about this wedding are the beautiful speeches by so many wonderful individuals. I know it meant a lot to Emma and Brandon that many of the guests took time out of their busy schedule and flew from all over the country to be a part of their wedding, like from Canada and El Savador. During Brandon’s speech, he mentioned how this was the first time ever that he and all of his brothers (and he has a few :P) were together at one place. And how his mom learned Spanish so she could communicate with Emma’s mom. And how Brandon’s dad Ken was so kind and honored to have his son’s wedding at one of the many country clubs that he’s a part of.
And Emma, I just admire how she planned the entire wedding on her own (with help from Brandon of course :). They spent the last five months taking dance classes for their first dance (and it certainly showed! Dancing with the Stars guys?). Oh yeah, Emma and Brandon’s vows and speeches consisted of the Lakers and photography; how cool is that? Special HUGE thanks to my good friends Gavin and Erin for accompanying me on this wedding. To Emma and Brandon, hope you’re enjoying your honeymoon in Tahiti, congratulations!
