Jenny + David’s Engagement Session – We all have our own unique story of how we met our significant other. But you wouldn’t think you’d meet your partner in life while moving homes and needing some help with the furniture. But that’s how Jenny and David met. They both ride bikes to work, have a super adorable and well-behaved dog in Daisy, and are involved in industries that influence the lives of many. Jenny and David are the few in this world that live life to the fullest and just don’t sit back waiting for things to happen.
Thanks to Nadia and Zak, whose wedding I had the pleasure of shooting two years ago, I met J + D over Labor Day weekend last year in San Francisco. Fast forward to this past Tuesday when I flew up to shoot their e-session; Jenny, David, and even Daisy greeted me with open arms (and paws :P) at the airport. For the next four hours or so, we hiked up the hills of a dog park, walked around the Embarcadero, rode bikes around the neighborhood, and even ate a cupcake or two :).
It’s funny yet scary how some things work out, like the feeling of catching up with two old friends and turning what’s work into something else. But that’s how my experience was hanging out with Jenny and David. On the car rides between locations and even during the shoot, not only did they share with me about themselves but also took the time to get to me know a bit better, which meant a lot.
They’re tying the knot this September in beautiful Sausalito, which is just north of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. I know I can’t wait to be a part of their amazing day. Hopefully Daisy will be the honorary guest and we’ll all eat a few more cupcakes at the wedding :).
