Keisya + Eric’s Wedding Part 2: 9/19/2010 – Seems like it was just yesterday when I got Keisya’s call l inquiring about my wedding photography services. It was nearly a year ago, I was boarding a flight to Virginia and the plane was just about to take off when the phone rang. We spoke briefly and a few weeks later, I had the chance to meet both her and Eric at a Starbucks in West LA.
It’s amazing how many twists, turns, and surprises life throws at you. But amidst the chaos, lies a path that is so clear for two individuals. Keisya and Eric are childhood friends. After their own personal and professional life took them on separate journeys, they reconnected several years ago. What started out as a hello and a hang out quickly led to countless hours on the phone and even more hangouts.
Their breathtaking wedding on Sunday at the beautiful Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles featured gorgeous floral that filled the ceremony and reception site, incredible lighting that turned the ballroom into a theatrical feat!, and a spectacular live band (mind you the one I’m hiring for sure if I ever get married one day :P) that brought everyone to the dance floor to celebrate Keisya and Eric tying the knot.
But beyond the amazing details were the genuine hearts and souls of Keisya and Eric. Their vows to each other brought tears to the eyes of many, their willingness to simply have a good time encouraged all the guests to dance with them, their trust and friendship towards me allowed me to do what I absolutely loved, and yes…they had a kick-arse leather couch as their sweetheart table, how cool was that? With Keisya and Eric, nothing is too common and everything is original.
Also, on a related note, Keisya and Eric are really good friends with one of my upcoming couples Iris and Simon; sheer coincidence how I met both couples :). It was so good to see Iris and Simon on Sunday and it’ll just be as awesome seeing Keisya and Eric at their wedding next month; one big happy family guys!
