Kim + Shaun’s Wedding: 10/15/2010 – You ever wonder how one thing can lead to another, and as the saying goes, “Everything happens for a reason”? That’s exactly how I felt about meeting Kim and Shaun a few months ago and working with them on their big day. Actually, I had the chance to meet Kim at Angelina and Matt’s wedding back in 2008 when she was a bridesmaid (and the rolls were reversed on Friday). Thanks to them, I was able to meet Kim, and thanks to Kim, I was able to meet Shaun, and thanks to Kim and Shaun, I met their wonderful guests :).
Most people that already know Kim and Shaun personally will tell you how genuine and simply real they are. They’re two of the most down-to-earth people I’ve ever met, always smiling, joking around, and simply being happy. You can’t help but have a great feeling inside of yourself when you’re around Kim and Shaun.
So it was no surprise that on their wedding day, everyone was all smiles and having an amazing time. I can’t thank the bridal party enough as well as Kim and Shaun’s parents for being so wonderful to work with. They were so patient with me as well as being super emotional all day = yummy photos. And although the day was a bit cloudy, it worked so well for photos as we got even-lighting the entire time. Kim and Shaun gave me ample time for photos before the ceremony, which gave them a chance to enjoy cocktail hour with their guests and for me to grab detail shots and other good stuff.
Special thanks to my associate/second photographer Brian Fletcher for shooting with me and doing a spectacular job with the guys and complimenting my shots. Also to Megan Kocher, who was the coordinator for the day, for being so awesome and always looking out for the vendors. But the biggest thank goes to Kim and Shaun, for not only trusting me to document their day, but treating me like an old friend from the very beginning. Congrats guys!
