Long Beach And Signal Hill Engagement Session Photos: Wade + Sam

Wade + Sam’s Engagement Session – Okay, deep breath. They say a picture is worth a thousand words but I think it’s absolutely priceless when it comes to documenting the many forms of love in this world. One of the things I told myself when I started my wedding photography career last year was I simply wanted to capture real moments and feelings from people no matter what. I feel so blessed every single day to do what I absolutely love and can’t live without, and am always honored when two people trust me to capture their most important day no matter what their cultural, racial, religious, sexual, or any other personal preference backgrounds are (as long as they aren’t hurting anyone else). I wouldn’t trade that privilege for anything else in this world.

About a month ago, I got a phone call that may forever change my business and my life. Only time will tell how this path goes, but I know one thing is for sure: I’m so glad to have made two new friends in Wade and Sam. They’re officially married but will be having their wedding in less than two weeks at Ner Tamid in Rancho Palos Verdes, where over 500 guests willl be attending. Sam is the cantor at the synagogue so he has a lot of close friends that would all love to attend his big day :). As for Wade, we’ll he’s simply one of the nicest and coolest guys I’ve ever met. Thanks to my awesome graphics designer and friend Gamie, I met Wade and Sam a few weeks ago at Trini’s studio. Gamie and Wade are co-workers at this amazing design company (another HUGE story that I can’t wait to share with you all in the near future as there’s many, many new things to come).

This past Saturday, we spent a few minutes hanging out and taking some portraits around Long Beach and Signal Hill. Although the day was a bit cloudy, it didn’t stop us from having a blast walking along the streets of Downtown LB. We stopped by a thrift store, parking lot, the hills, and a few other neat spots. The great thing was we cracked so many lame jokes that I almost forgot I was there to take photos. I’m so thrilled to have met Wade and Sam and to be photographing their big event in early April. Thanks guys, see you again very soon!
