Mylinh + Craig’s Wedding: 7/4/2010 – What a way to spend the 4th of July at Rancho Las Lomas! Congrats to Mylinh and Craig, two of the most awesome people I’ve ever met! I was able to meet M + C all thanks to my wonderful past clients Elizabeth and Dat, who were also in attendance at their wedding (congrats guys on the little one!). It was such an honor and pleasure photographing Mylinh, Craig, and their quite unique day (more on that later). When the bride and groom are all smiles, laughter, and downright having FUN the entire day, it makes my job as a photographer so much easier.
And speaking of a unique day, here’s what I meant! They ate In-N-Out while getting ready. And speaking of getting ready, Mylinh and Craig did that in the same room, skipping the first look and helping one another into their attire. They had all their guests wear white and beige-colored outfits. They even skipped giving wedding bands to each other and instead tattooed their initials on the ring fingers. Mylinh and Craig walked into the ceremony together to the tune of an amazing violin performance by one of their good friends.
Wedding party? Didn’t have that. Grand entrance/first dance? Nope. Father-daughter/mother-son dance? Nada. Bouquet/garter toss? No thanks, bring on the guys in shades, funky hair, and red suits aka Flashback Heart Attack! I was thinking how this was definitely the most laid back, relaxed, and easy-going wedding I’ve ever been a part of. Plus the details were amazing. Kat of LVL Wedding and Events along with Larrissa of Inviting Occasion did a FANTASTIC job decorating the ceremony and reception site. And it’s always a pleasure working with the folks of 24 Carrots. Most of all, thank you Mylinh and Craig for being true rock stars!
