What’s more fun than working with your favorite cinematographers at a wedding? Photographing them! Plus these days, it’s so tough to find time outside of a wedding to “hang out” with your favorite vendor friends. But yesterday, I had the pleasure and honor of actually photographing Rebecka and Michael of Visual Masterpiece and their ADORABLE two sons Evan and Christian. We had a joint family + maternity portrait shoot going on in the hills/fields of Laguna Beach!
One of the many reasons I always recommend Rebecka and Michael to my couples that are looking for a video/cinematographer is their work, it’s beyond amazing, and is always a pleasure watching them go that extra mile and give 110% to their clients. But it’s also their personalities and how they genuinely care so much about the individuals they meet and work with. You seriously won’t find a husband and wife-team as wonderful as Rebecka and Michael. If anything, when I’m working with them at a wedding, Rebecka and Michael make me feel relaxed and treat me like I was part of their team :).
So having the opportunity to photograph dear friends and for such a special occasion, as young Evan and Christian are having a little sister in less than a month!!!!, means so much to me. And Rebecka and Michael are just as amazing behind the camera as they are in front of. Not only is the Padilla family beautiful inside and out, but their love for each other rubs off on those around them.
Just the way Rebecka and Michael look at each other, after being married for over a decade (think they got engaged when they were like 10…just look how young they still look!)…how the brothers hug/play with each other…and of course how the entire family interact with one another…it was such a beautiful thing to watch and capture. Thank you Rebecka, Michael, Evan, and Christian for spending a few hours with me yesterday. Even with that rattlesnake showing up in front of our cars at the end of the shoot, I wouldn’t have changed any of it for the world :). And I really, really, really don’t like snakes. Enjoy the preview, and congrats!
