Something really special happened on March 13th, 2010. That was the day Sanaz and Arash got married, exactly one year ago from today. Words can’t describe how blessed I feel to have met them, as Sanaz and Arash have opened their hearts to me and allowed me to photograph such an incredible kind love that only they share with one another. Yesterday, Arash got back into her super smooth suit while Sanaz got back into her wedding dress, did her hair and make-up, and even got a matching set of boutonniere and bouquet, for a memorable afternoon bridal anniversary session shoot in Orange County.
And wow did these two look better than ever! Not only were Sanaz and Arash more than happy to get back into their wedding attire, but they were also more than willing to trek on dirt, stand in tall grass, and even wait in the middle of busy foot traffic to get the shot. They were such troopers, and I felt so inspired and motivated to give them 110% of my effort! When you have a bride and groom willing to go all out for you, most definitely more in love than ever, and simply trust you to work your photography, it just makes you feel like you’re floating on air and you’re able to connect with them on a whole different level. That’s exactly what happened yesterday with Sanaz and Arash.
But my absolute favorite part of yesterday was what Sanaz did for Arash as a surprise towards the end of the shoot. She wrote her vows to him and wanted me to capture Arash reading it. There were were…in the fields, with no one around except us three. I stepped back several dozen yards and gave Sanaz and Arash some alone time. And wow…what a powerful moment that was. To capture Arash reading the vows and how Sanaz was looking at him…it just reminded me of why I do what I do, and how I can’t imagine doing anything else in this world.
Thank you Sanaz and Arash for giving me such an amazing opportunity to work with you again. It’s been nothing but a pleasure and honor watching your love grow to new heights. I can’t wait to work with you again, most likely in the near future. I have a feeling you’ll be getting into your wedding attire a few more times before the year is over ;). But most importantly, HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!
