Sanaz + Arash :: Orange County Portrait Session Photos

Something really special happened on March 13th, 2010. That was the day Sanaz and Arash got married, exactly one year ago from today. Words can’t describe how blessed I feel to have met them, as Sanaz and Arash have opened their hearts to me and allowed me to photograph such an incredible kind love that only they share with one another. Yesterday, Arash got back into her super smooth suit while Sanaz got back into her wedding dress, did her hair and make-up, and even got a matching set of boutonniere and bouquet, for a memorable afternoon bridal anniversary session shoot in Orange County.

And wow did these two look better than ever! Not only were Sanaz and Arash more than happy to get back into their wedding attire, but they were also more than willing to trek on dirt, stand in tall grass, and even wait in the middle of busy foot traffic to get the shot. They were such troopers, and I felt so inspired and motivated to give them 110% of my effort! When you have a bride and groom willing to go all out for you, most definitely more in love than ever, and simply trust you to work your photography, it just makes you feel like you’re floating on air and you’re able to connect with them on a whole different level. That’s exactly what happened yesterday with Sanaz and Arash.

But my absolute favorite part of yesterday was what Sanaz did for Arash as a surprise towards the end of the shoot. She wrote her vows to him and wanted me to capture Arash reading it. There were were…in the fields, with no one around except us three. I stepped back several dozen yards and gave Sanaz and Arash some alone time. And wow…what a powerful moment that was. To capture Arash reading the vows and how Sanaz was looking at him…it just reminded me of why I do what I do, and how I can’t imagine doing anything else in this world.

Thank you Sanaz and Arash for giving me such an amazing opportunity to work with you again. It’s been nothing but a pleasure and honor watching your love grow to new heights. I can’t wait to work with you again, most likely in the near future. I have a feeling you’ll be getting into your wedding attire a few more times before the year is over ;). But most importantly, HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!

  1. Arash

Our one year anniversary with Henry Chen,Our journey began with Henry little more than one year ago, when we found him on the internet and met with him in a coffee shop to look at his work and picked him as our wedding photographer. We would have never guessed that one year later, he continues to take those same amazing shots that he took for our wedding. Our relationship is beyond photography, we consider Henry as one of hour dearest friends that has shared with us our greatest moments….

  2. Arash

We have dealt with multiple vendors in our wedding that performed their job and nothing beyond that. Henry, has gone beyond and above any expectation that we ever had. He performs photography with a passion that we have never seen in anyone else. The passion and emotional connection supersedes any financial or contractual agreement. He has taken us to places to take pictures that no one else would consider. He has gone beyond the expected time that he would promise us without ever mentioning it.

  3. Arash

His generosity is obvious with even offering his services to aid the earthquake victims in Japan. In Conclusion, We recommend Henry Chen for a professional photographer to anyone who is looking for a photographer. We are willing to assure that your every picture will be memorable, and you would want to come back year after year!!!! Thanks Henry, we appreciate everything you have done for us, and we will be in your gratitude for the rest of our lives! Thanks for the best anniversary gift ever!!!
