Sheri + Will’s Wedding: 5/1/2010 – I met Sheri almost a year ago to talk about her wedding plans and my photography services. Since then, we’ve kept in touch via e-mail as both her and Will are currently in medical residency on the other side of the country. Just two days before their wedding this past Saturday, I met Will for the first time and saw Sheri again, mainly to touch base on the final details of their big day :).

Their Muslim-Persian wedding celebration at Irvine Hilton Hotel was a complete blast from start to finish. It was great having the getting ready, ceremony, and reception all at one place. Sheri and Will’s first look was actually in their hotel room, where Will came by with Sheri’s gorgeous bouquet to present to her, and see each other for the first time (although I heard rumors that they bumped into each other earlier in the morning :P).

Although I never did an e-session with Sheri and Will, I felt like I’ve not only photographed them before but have known S + W for a long, long time. It was so amazing seeing all the emotions come to life at the ceremony and reception. And for me personally not being quite accustomed to Persian-Muslim weddings yet, it was such an honor for Sheri and Will to put me in charge of documenting their day. The details from start to finish were out of this world. However, the many rituals, especially the dancing, were beyond exciting to witness and photograph.
