Vivian + Chris’ Wedding: 9/5/2010 – What a week it was not only hanging out with Vivian and Chris but capturing their big day in Beijing, China. They held a beautiful ceremony and reception banquet at one of Beijing’s finest hotel, The Peninsula. The day was beautiful (not too hot, and even a bit of sun came out in “cloudy” Beijing :P). Around 100 of their family and friends from all over the world came out to celebrate with Vivian and Chris.
I still can’t believe how we could be strangers on opposite sides of the world one minute but thanks to a mutual friend of ours (big shout out to Tami Low!), I was able to connect with Vivian and Chris and fly out to photograph them. There were so many memorable things that took place on their wedding day. For example, Vivian and Chris had a chance to ride around town in a Rolls Royce before the ceremony started; we stopped by a few spots for photos while locals looked on.
Both Vivian and Chris had a few outfit changes. Although Vivian’s Chi-Pao and evening gown dress were beautiful, I must say Chris took the slight edge on the wardrobe contest with his dashing bright, yellow suit ;). They had a great bridal party, especially the groomsmen Jeremy, David, and Nick. It’s rare for me to hang out with the guys at a wedding since I’m usually with the bride and the girls during the getting ready, so it was nice to get to know the groomsmen a bit better and be a part of the crew.
I can go on and on about how awesome this wedding was, but I think one photo will sum up just how radtastic it was; it’s towards the end of the sneak peek pictures from below. Let’s just say there’s a cut-out poster board of Vivian and Chris as well as a Mistery (yes, Mister and not Mystery) Machine van? A what? Exactly ;). What a blast it was to go back to Asia and document an unbelievable event. Thanks Vivian and Chris, hope to see you guys again soon!
